“The Enoughness Principle says there is enough love, happiness, beauty and even material things for everyone, including you.”
Stride Like a Lion, Soar Like an Eagle
I talk about the enoughness principle in my book when I talk about the concepts of abundance and love. On that thought, I was recently at a tea with friends and we were discussing work the discussion took another slant. Have you ever noticed how the last 5-10% of a project seems to take the proverbial 80% of the effort and why do we knock ourselves out over it? When is enough, enough? Those of us who are the type A personalities need to become aware of, and moderate our efforts to expend our energy where it is really needed. Set the ego aside and learn the enoughness principle as it applies to projects, whether work or in our personal lives. It does good to remind ourselves that nothing is ever perfect…that the invention of post-it-notes was an accident made by a 3M researcher trying to make a super-strong adhesive.
Living Joyously Tip for the Day:
Breathe. Relax. Let it go. Enough is enough.
